Wendy Austin, Director

Wendy Austin has worked for more than twenty five years in communications and marketing management in the nonprofit (U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention), government, (Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences) and business sectors. She has extensive business start-up experience, including founding and operating an independent bookstore as well as launching ConnectSouthside in August 2007 and the merger and launch of Southside Community Partners in October 2009. Wendy is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and candidate for Master of Science in Leadership Studies at Northeastern University. She is an active community volunteer having served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children with Henrico Co. CASA and currently serves on the Executive Boards of the Hopewell-Prince George Chamber of Commerce and Hopewell Rotary. Wendy also serves on the Chesterfield County Committee on the Future as appointed by The Honorable Daniel Gecker, Midlothian Supervisor.

The Southside Community Partners Nonprofit Resource Center is located on the first floor of the library. The Resource Center is open for walk-in use without an appointment during normal library hours.
