Building Your Case for Support

The case for support is a compelling, energetic story of why someone should invest in your work and lies at the heart of your organization's message. The case is integrally linked to your strategic plan, clearly defines your audience and your work as well as reflects a shared vision of the future. Being able to articulate these ideas requires intentional and thoughtful planning. This workshop will allow participants to define and put the case statement process in the context of fund developoment. Participants will explore the key questions to ask when beginning the process of writing a case statement, review the essential information to gather, and discuss the timeline necessary to create a high energy document. A critique of real-life case statements will be employed.
